As you may have noticed there are custom titles displayed above the avatars in the forum. They are based on the post count and can be changed to whatever we want them to be. Currently they include things like “Community Drunk” and “Community Addict”, but we would like to change them into something better, preferably to do with the ancient world. This is where you come in, please add your suggestions to this thread.
Currently there are 15 ranks, ranging from no posts to impossibly many, and we can add more, so there’s room for plenty of suggestions. Anything related to the Ancient world, and is not a bad thing to have displayed in your profile goes.
We won SourceForge’s June Project of the Month poll!
It was neck and neck for days with Sourcefabric’s Newscoop, a FOSS CMS for news websites, but finally, after a hair-raising run for the finish by both contenders, we won by 3 votes (527 to 524)!
This means 0 A.D. will get featured on SourceForge’s blog and mailing list, lending the project high visibility among a new audience of FOSS developers. Reaching out to such large, technically minded audiences helps attract new contributors and speed up the game’s development.
Thanks to the hundreds of our dedicated fans who voted, and a courteous hat tip to Newscoop, for putting up a great fight and for their excellent sportsmanship.
Last but not least, special thanks to 0 A.D. contributor Kieran (k776) for his initiative and leadership in this event. Way to go!
If you have a Twitter account, please consider voting for 0 A.D. as Sourceforge’s project of the month for June 2012.
Just a few hours left.
This way we can attract even more new developers and make faster progress!
Thanks in advance!

We’ve completed another forum upgrade, and we hope you like it! This release didn’t come without issues. There are two known issues at this time:
- The Pledgie and Paypal badges are missing. They will be added back in soon.
- Avatar images may have been changed. If your avatar’s been modified, feel free to change it back by going into your profile settings.
If you have any issues or feedback, drop by our upgrade feedback thread.
Later today, Wildfire Games will be performing an upgrade to it’s forum software. The upgrade will start around 7 PM GMT. During this time, the forum will be unavailable. The wiki, Trac, and all of our other applications will still be running normally. We expect for the upgrade to take only a few hours. If you spot any issues after the upgrade, feel free to stop on by and file a ticket.
Thanks, everyone, for being patient!
